We are reaching out to our members of the branch to remind them that are still collecting items for our time capsule.
Time Capsule – Memories we gather in 2026 to be unsealed in the 150th year of the Royal Canadian Legion in 2076
Veterans Affairs Canada Commemorative Partnership Program awarded us a Grant of $4,800.00.
Port Coquitlam Legion Branch 133 has been afforded a once in our lifetime opportunity to purchase a Time Capsule to be created by the entire Port Coquitlam community to commemorate Veterans and those who have made ultimate sacrifice in service to Canada, and those who have served, past and present!!
How can you and your family get involved and contribute?
Consider items you may have that serves as memory of a relative or family member or friend that can tell their story of their sacrifice for Canada, such as:

- · Medals
- · Memorabilia
- · Videos of present day, 2026 Port Coquitlam Legion, R.J Kent Residences and Cenotaph
- · Civic Leaders, local business recognition
- · Art
Timeline and location particulars:
October 24, 2026 to November 9, 2026 gathering items from members and local schools for the time capsule.
November 10, finalize placing items and sealing the Time Capsule.
Time Capsule placement ceremony at Branch 133 premise on Remembrance Day, November 11, 2026.
Time: 2:00pm. All participants are welcome and encouraged to attend!

TIME CAPSULE SUBMISSION/CONTRIBUTION
Thank you for contributing an item to be included in the time capsule! It will be beneficial and important to provide details as to who is contributing, and as much detail as you wish to be included.The intent is for the Time Capsule to be sealed on Remembrance Day 2026 and buried in the ground, on the Royal Canadian Legion property until the year 2076. Time Capsule placement ceremony at Branch 133 premise on Remembrance Day, November 11, 2026.

All participants are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Within are preserved memories, stories, and keepsakes of the grateful community of Port Coquitlam, B.C.
Sealed on this day, this capsule is entrusted to future generations and our collective wish is for this commemorative collection to remain unopened until Remembrance Day, November 11, 2076.
May it forever remind those who follow of the courage, sacrifice, and freedom entrusted to them.
